What people say about (Sherrill Park Golf Course)

June 2025. Played Black tees (7015/74.4/132) Pro shop staff was very nice & paired me up. Course conditions (tees/fairways/greens) were in great shape. Greens improved from 2024. Pace of play: 4 hours (walking) $$ value very high as senior walking fee =$22 Nice to see youth summer camps, club fitting & instruction happening on the range Challenging layout ! Oct 10, 2024. Played Blue tees (6460/ 70.2/ 125 ). Senior, single - pro shop was very nice & fit me in in a reasonable time. Fairways & tee boxes:8/10 & in great shape (ProTip here is to hit in in the short grass ) Fairways generous, water & sand = danger. Greens : 6.5+ / 10. ( bumpy spots sent balls off line; tough greens to dial in. Rough is tough, particularly near greens. Pace of play: Slow 4.5 hours, waited every hole - popular, challenging course Great value for seniors ($40) Another positive experience! July 25 2023. Great experience! Large / well done range, putting & chipping area with quality practice balls. Active youth program & several lessons gave the venue a good vibe. Pro shop & dining area clean, well done & staffed by friendly, professional people. ( I was a first timer & felt welcomed ) Course 1 from the tips is a solid test Fairways in great shape, water on a # of holes adds challenge. Greens are large ( were airrated which was disclosed at check in ). Should be great in 2 weeks. Good variety of hole design requires shotmaking with a # of different club’s required Pace of play was fast ( 1st group off ). Plenty of tee choices for all to enjoy the course #publicgolf in #NorthTexas continues to impress!

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, however, my husband had a terrible experience here today and it’s worth noting. If you’re not white, the resident golfers on this course are not welcoming. He had two separate parties approach him and accuse him of stealing a ball. Which is laughable, but thank goodness we stamp all of his balls. Service in the club house was also terrible, and even when a call was placed about these issues it was not addressed. The cart girl didn’t come around until hole 17 and when she did, she insisted she would have to take and hold their cards at the club house. We’ve played at courses all over the metroplex and US and have never had anything close to this experience. Extremely disappointed.

People in pro shop were rude and passive aggressive. When they saw my swing they laughed, kicked, and spit on me. Also, course was 100% sand and dirt. No grass. The greens were a giant hole in the ground and the group behind us played all 18 holes either no clothes on. Weird establishment. 0/10 do not recommend.
