A thesis in mediocrity. The course is well maintained and particularly nice for being in such a dry area and in an extended drought. The carts we clean and mostly well maintained. The staff inside were snippy, and it was as if we had offended them by playing golf. Some odd course rules where we had to have two bags per cart even if they weren't being used. So we rented an empty bag and we rented a set of ladies clubs (no ladies in our group) to tote along. With the rules complied to now we had a bag per person, even if they were for kids who were mostly riding along and played a combined 12 holes (yes we had already payed for each of them to play the full 18). The holes are crowded together and stacked one on another, which resulted in errant shots screaming by too many times for comfort or people playing into and from your fairway due to their poor shots. We were hit into three different times in spite of our pace being 3-12 minutes ahead. Lots of wildlife as well, which helps you forget you're wedged between roads, an amusement park, and a neighborhood.
This course is beautiful! The whole course was in great shape. One hole had some construction going on. We will be coming back! The wildlife is awesome and the carts were pretty cool with gps, phone Bluetooth for music and you can keep score.
I really like this course, it’s beautiful, affordable, and playing with deer walking around the fairways is honestly a vibe. But man, the beverage cart service sucks. I’ve played here over 10 times and never once seen it on the course. You can even call the clubhouse and they still don’t sort it out. So don’t count on it, just grab your drinks at the clubhouse before teeing off.
