Well to start Archie behind the counter was great. Friendly seemed like we knew each other for years and could’ve talked for hours. He hooked me up asked me to check in after the round. Trying out the new hip and was pleased not a big crowd. I wasn’t pressured and never played in to other groups. Course was perfect for me. Yes there is a drought. So fairways were on the hard side. Greens were bare in spots and had some weeds Some greens not as good as others. For the value you need to accept these conditions. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back.
The staff at the front desk were accommodating, allowing us to start early, which we appreciated. However, I must highlight the severe neglect of the course itself—it's been in bad shape for a long time and definitely not worth the $33 per person they charged. It's disappointing because it's the only course nearby, but I won't be returning. A change in ownership could greatly improve its upkeep. Here are some photos showing its current condition.
For the most part this course is a good value course. $19 for 18 holes with a cart was worth the hour drive to come check it out. Some of the tee boxes have hard soil so it’s hard to get a tee in. As of today about 3 of the 18 greens are in decent shape. Most of the fairways are decent with an occasional dirt patch. Where else are you dropping $19 for 18 that would look better? Exactly… At the end of the day you get what you pay for. I would definitely come back out this way to play another round.
