If I could give zero stars, I would. Used to play out here a lot with my dad. Decided we would try it again today and it was AWFUL. Not sure you can blame it all on the floods and hurricane but if that’s what they want to say then I guess that’s what everyone will go with. Trees still down from the hurricane. Most greens were not even putt able. Sprinkler system issues everywhere. Hog ruts everywhere. I remember back in the day the old maintenance guy would ride around with an AR and had this somewhat under control. 16 had the sprinkler by the green running and we had to time it just right so we didn’t get soaked. Not to mention the rude lady working the desk. I guess if I worked at a place like that I may hate my job too. Also, no bathroom anywhere on the course. I know guys can go pretty much anywhere, but difficult for a woman to go in the woods. The way this course is they should just be charging a cart fee because it’s very clear they are putting ZERO work into the course. I also find it comical that they still have cart path only holes as if driving on the course would make it any worse! A par 5 should not be cart path only especially at a course like this! If you don’t want to put $$$$ sell it to someone that does!
Played years ago and it was beautiful. But man it's in rough shape. Bunkers are more weeds than sand, fairways are weeds and dirt is harder than concrete. Greens are just a fairway extension and impossible to put. I feel like I'm being a bit harsh but I feel like they should at least warn you or lower the daily rate. 47 bucks is a bit stiff for the course conditions. I understand that area takes more water and I suppose they have a hog problem but why would I play here when I can pay a few bucks more and it's 10000 times better a few miles away. Course could be amazing but needs some elbow grease for sure.
This is EASILY THE WORST course I’ve played in all my 40 years of playing golf. I cannot be any more clear. It’s obvious that the money received for rounds of play is being diverted elsewhere. The greens and tee-boxes haven’t seen “care” in many years. The local wild hogs are certainly doing their part to keep it destroyed as well. It’s so bad that I lost a ball in the middle of the fairway due to the many hog holes that were filled with standing water. The management really needs to turn a few quality hog hunters loose in there frequently and start making an attempt at having actual greens and tee-boxes. This place isn’t worth any amount of money, but certainly not the $43 they’re charging.
