Me and my wife were on a little anniversary getaway to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and I was able to get an early morning round of golf in. Was very happy to choose Sevierville Golf Club for that round. First time playing here and it did not disappoint. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. The starter was able to get me going on the River course and was paired with a young couple out of IL. The course was in great condition and fun to play. The front was somewhat flat like a linx style course with tall grass areas and water. Very few trees to contend with on the course but small hills and sandy areas kept it interesting. The greens were in great shape and somewhat fast. Once you got to the greens it also got interesting as some of them had rolling elevation changes and hills along with bunkers. The back set of holes was mostly in the wooded areas with extreme elevation changes, ravines and water. Had to be a little more patient with my shots on the back. Cart paths were mostly paved and in good shape as well. Cart girl was making her rounds and was really friendly. Carts were in good shape and had GPS mounted on them. Overall the River Course was fun to play and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and play again! I was told the Highlands Course was the shorter of the two but I did not get the chance to play it on this trip. There is a nice big practice putting green and driving range along with a snack bar near the starter. A big shout out to all the staff and grounds crew on a great job and awesome course!
