I have played this course many times and sadly it hasn't changed much in the past 20 years. Many of the fairways were not even mowed. I lost balls in the open 'fairway'! Greens were in 'better' shape, but still many putts go off line due to lack of maintenance. I haven't golfed much in the past few years, but you can bet I'll pay just a few more bucks next time and go somewhere else. In my opinion this course may as well be called a "goat ranch". No way is this place worth $23 and that's the weekday rate. LOL
This place is THE WORST COURSE IN EAST TENNESSEE. The greens are barely even playable and the fairways are inches thick. Losing balls is very easy at this place and it's easy to get lost because the course is so thick you can't see where you're going and some of the pin flags are on the wrong hole. I bet I saw( not kidding) at least 100 beer bottles/Cans throughout the course. Save yourself $20 DO NOT GO HERE
This is where I first learned to play golf and now my husband and I have been playing this course for over two years. During this time we have watched a lot of hard work go into improving the course and continue to see upgrades each week when we go to play. It is a beautiful course with a great mountain back drop, interesting and challenging holes and a great price. The owners and staff are great and it is easy to see why there are quite a few regulars. If you are looking for a course that offers beautiful scenery, a great atmosphere, never gets boring and won't break the bank you really should give this one a try.
