Mountain City has done a wonderful job of making a great park. We stopped here on a whim with a picnic lunch and enjoyed every aspect of the park. A nice playground with a skateboard park compliments the walking track and the pond. Beautiful scenery all around and beautiful trees and flowers for the landscape.
Beautiful area . Also there is a memorial wall that names all the people from the county that has fought in each war. They have car shows here in summer lots of music and ball games fireworks on the 4th. There is a lot of things that goes on here in the park for the community it is an awesome place.
Husband and I watched a softball tournament while the kids played on the playground. Bathrooms avail, as well as food trucks and concession stand. Also paid respects at the Johnson County Memorial Wall on-site. Our entire NC family enjoyed our visit.
