This is a fantastic 9 hole, Par 3 course. It’s great for a quick round or for beginners. The course was very well maintained, with an intuitive layout and well marked holes. Greens were in great shape, better than most local public courses. The property itself is beautiful with holes set into the gently rolling hills and large shade trees throughout. The rate is very reasonable via the “honor box”. My son is new to the game, and really enjoyed his first round here. We’ll be back!
Awesome 9 holes, par 3 course. Super fun to go and play for an hour or two. There is lots of very tall grass so you have to be fairly accurate with your irons.
I had the pleasure of playing my very first round of golf at Lightning Bug Golf Course on May 24th—and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the game! From the moment I arrived, I could tell this was a special place. The course is surrounded by peaceful trees and open skies, giving it a serene, welcoming vibe. The layout is a charming par-3 design, making it incredibly beginner-friendly while still offering a fun challenge for more seasoned players. What really impressed me was the overall experience: the course is inviting, affordable, and clearly built with community and accessibility in mind. You can feel the passion and history here. Whether you’re new to golf like me or looking for a relaxing round with friends or family, this course delivers incredible value and a genuinely enjoyable atmosphere. Huge thanks to the folks who run and maintain Lightning Bug—your care and effort shine through in every detail. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
