This course deserves a bad review today. We understand the need to stay on the cart path after it rains but to not keep speed of play moving is ridiculous. Over 3 hours for the back 9 is not acceptable. I kindly advised the front desk girl (Alexis) that a ranger(or person) was needed to speed up play. She only said that I should have called in to let them know. I didn’t know that was an option & it’s not posted anywhere to do that. She was not friendly at all. No apology and didn’t care. We did however appreciate Maddie in concession. She at least was a sweet kind girl.
Invited by some friends for a friendly 9 hole match today. 48 bucks on a weekday morning for 9 is wild. The course was in ok shape. But no where near worth the price to play here. 5 stars for friendly staff and a nice clubhouse but until pricing gets back to reasonable I won't be back.
Cedar Crest Golf Club (It’s not a club - it’s public) was a less than formidable challenge. This would have been a one (1) star review, but the pro shop, bar, and grill staff were all incredibly friendly. The course conditions, while incredibly lackluster, were made all the more abominable by the $73 price tag. If this was a $25 municipal course, it would have been 5 stars. The greens rolled at the same pace as my basement shag carpeting, many of the rough areas might as well have been marked as ground under repair, and the par 3 tee boxes were like hitting from a fairway bunker. The course layout and architecture were well thought out - would play again if course conditions get under control, or price comes down.
