What people say about (Lakeland Golf of Baneberry)

Devin Page

When the golf corse is in this bad disarray, you should just give money back! I Never have been on a golf corse this bad. Just gave up trying to even play! Stopped taking pictures before the 9th hole, which was covered in inches of dead grass. Couldn’t even find you ball on the fairway!

Baneberry Golf (Lakeland GC) is on the mend but there’s a ways to go yet. Every year we’ve played there we leave on the promise of improved greens & amenities the next year. This year the accommodations have improved a ton with a total remodel of the “hotel” and restaurant but the course itself is nearly in disrepair. Josh is the new guy and says the greens will be redone by next season. He seems friendly and accommodating, so I’ll take his word and update my review in 2022. Before I invest anymore money into a trip here, gonna need some proof of improvements. Redoing 18 greens, a 19th hole, and 40+ bunkers within one calendar year is impossible without a multi-million dollar cash infusion. For now, leave your putters at home if you play here. The fairways are making for better greens than the actual putting greens. -End Of Line

The good, friendly staff and course is usually not crowded for quick play. Its perfect for a group who aren't good golfers and who want to have fun. The bad, course condition is pretty rough. Not much grass anywhere. Greens have lots of areas of dead that they covered with sand.
