I attended EOU for three years and really appreciate the school. It's quality professors (most were great with only a few exceptions), small class sizes, and affordable tuition make it one of the best bang for your buck colleges in the country. They also have quality sports programs, tons of resources to help students succeed academically, and even help students find employment when they graduate.
This school is amazing. The faculty is exceptionally helpful. Their distance learning program has helped me to get a quality education while working full time.I feel challenged by my coursework but find myself able to complete it along with my work. I could not be happier with my experience at this school.
EOU has a LOW graduation rate (32% to 41% depending on your sources!) and offers a somewhat restrictive catalog. I attended in 2012 before shifting gears and attending school elsewhere. That said, I found my instructors to be attentive and invested in providing a good education. I always enjoy visiting the EOU campus, and for the most part, people there are friendly. There is a cool Disc golf course at the campus too, parks flank it, and it's within walking distance of both good food and downtown. The campus is almost directly across the street from the law enforcement complex and courthouse; I've walked the campus during the day and evening and never felt unsafe, though there are lots of unlit areas and stray dogs roaming from time to time (like everywhere else).
