The course itself has a great layout but it ruined by the bad upkeep of the course. Fairways are not well maintained, some tee boxes you can't tee up due to poor maintenance, and the "greens" are mostly dead grass, dirt, and hard as concrete. The cart paths are also not managed well, and my bf's arm got caught in a thorn bush and was badly scraped up/bleeding. If you're just looking to mess around this is a fine course for that but if you're looking to improve your game I'd go elsewhere, especially for the price—which is frankly too high for the quality you recieve. We also went to get range balls the other day and the lady rudely informed us they were closing over an hour before their listed time.
This is the worst golf course I have ever played. Fairways were ankle high (not joking). I Lost multiple balls in the middle of the fairway, they do not mow anything. Greens need a lot of work as you can tell from the photos. There was no sand in any of the bunkers, they looked like a mud pit with weeds growing in them. I feel like I got worse from golfing this course. My putting speed will be off. There was zero short grass to hit from. Felt as if I was playing from the thick rough the whole time. The driving range was overgrown and had nets all ripped up. Cart paths had no gravel and looked like a mud pit in several places. Don’t waste your money on this garbage like I did. I should have looked closer before playing.
It's a course that I *want* to like. It's an interesting layout with mature trees and wildlife, it's usually pretty quiet, and their specials are affordable. So why the low rating? Maintenance, or lack thereof. The course has deteriorated significantly over the past several years. New owners last year, so maybe it'll be better? Not today, it seems. It was an extremely frustrating round, with nearly every ball disappearing into fields of daisies and tall grass, even when hit right into the middle of "fairways." Greens and tee boxes were pretty rough as well. The new ownership has put emphasis into cleaning up the overgrown trees, which has been long overdue, but that should be secondary to keeping the playing surfaces, well, playable.
