Nienhuis Park Community Center

Everything about this park is ideal. The biggest reason it gets 1 star off is, the children's playground is quite small given what else they have to offer, i.e. multiple sand volleyball courts, a skate park, a huge water slide and pool area, ponds to fish in or relax by, lighted football fields, and a 9 hole disc golf course. This brings me to my other star removal, a 9 hole course, while there is plenty of space to make it an 18-hole course. It could be an incredible disc golf course that this side of town does not have. Yet it's dwarfed by 9 fairly easy holes.

Great open country & peaceful atmosphere! Would be nice if you had a restroom. However, the playground for kids looks great! I am 73 years old, so the smooth walkway around the water was so smooth, I was able to walk farther than normal. It also had 2 covered picnic tables. Nice place for a small family gathering.

Bro, nienhuis needs more security. It is always a little sketchy to even be playing pickup basketball or volleyball and be smelling marajuana inside. People are constantly vaping and letting people in without cards and all that.
