Had an amazing time. The atmosphere was awesome, the staff was accommodating and inviting and the golf course was perfect, the greens are very well maintained. Also, the drinks at the bar were made just the way we like them...
I was a visitor from UK with my grandson and We could not have been made more welcome by the very friendly staff, especially David. The course is quirky and not exceptionally long, however, it provides a good test to most amateur golfers. The greens are in wonderful condition having recently been tined and dressed. I would recommend CGCC to any visitors and I thank David for his excellent hospitality.
First time going to this course and I was not impressed at all. My friend and I were not informed beforehand that this is a nine hole course (I really think that should be on their website). We paid for 18 and were disappointed when we found out it was just the same 9 holes twice. The course was confusing the first go around because the fairways are very close together and there are only a few trees that separate almost all the holes. There are also two tee boxes on some of the holes to make it seem like you aren’t playing the same nine over again. Another big problem we had was big groups of people playing slow and not letting us play through. We were stuck behind a group of 6 for about 3 holes before they let us play through. Then we were stuck behind a group of 8 for about 5 holes before we got to play through. I was informed afterwards that there is no limit on group size. The workers also do not keep track of how many people are on a course at a time so that made things even worse (especially with the course only having nine holes). We were constantly waiting on people and finished 18 in 4 1/2 hours when we should have finished in 2 1/2. The fairways were in okay condition, there were quite a few dirt patches though. The greens were good on every hole and the only reason why this review is 2/5 instead of 1/5. For the price ($47 for single w/ cart), I expected the course to be in a lot better shape and there to be 18 individual holes. I know there isn’t a lot of options for golf around Chickasha, but Blanchard, south okc, Marlow, and Duncan all have better courses than this one.
