If you're working at the mine and you want a good lunch this is what you want. Get the fried chicken burger with bacon. It's always cooked perfectly. The awesome tater tots alone are worth the 5 stars. You have never had tater tots cooked this well. I defy you to tell me different. The ladies that work there are super nice. Lastly, you want the fry sauce. You need the fry sauce. I don't play golf so I don't care about the course.
This is a golf course diner. Not fancy but clean. The menu is short and sweet but serves some delicious items. This takes the boring old pizza joint and stereotypical deli out of the view for a moment and offeres something different and refreshing
The Round Mountain golf course is a desert gem. With very few players, it provides a very quiet, scenic setting. When I was there last the, the pro shop sold snacks, balls, clubs, and other golf essentials. The course features a grass driving range and a practice green. The course is long; however, the fairways are easier than most to hit. The rough is forgiving in some spots, however there are a few places you do not want to be. My favorite holes are: #1 385 yards, par 4 - You walk up on the tee box to the scene of a large pond with the 9th green in the background. The green is protected by grass bunkers. #2 - Par 3 175 yds - Large green with water on the right, and one nasty grass trap. #5 Par 3, 157 yards - Make sure you have the right club! Dry Pond in the back right, with a sloped green, if you strike it solid you should be able to place it close to the pin. #7 345 yds Par 4 - Short, but challenging, drive over a ditch, and the fairway doglegs to the right with a large sloped green that slopes to the water. Be careful on your approach and avoid the grass bunker in the front and one in the back of the green. The green is guarded from the wind on the back by hills, and if you land on one long you will have a very hard downhill lie chip. #8 500 yards par 5 - Ditch at 250 yards out; you can clear it without a headwind. With the headwind I recommend an iron off of the tee. Two good shots will place you very close or on the green. Very rewarding hole. #9 381 yards - Slight dog leg to the right. If you go with the driver, be weary of the pond about 260 yards out. The uphill approach to a large, but tricky green, provides a fun approach. Make sure you note pin placement while on the #1 tee box; this will determine what club you use on approach. Overall Round Mountain Golf Course is a great value, little traffic and friendly people.
