played here on an afternoon in late june. course itself was in pretty good shape. carts were super nice but no gps. not a friendly course for beginner/novice golfers. it’s a short track, but has a TON of incredibly tight fairways and requires some pretty strategic golf. front tees often have odd placements and there were often haphazard obstacles meant for the longer tees. didn’t really like the vibes of the area in general. not a great value considering you can play either course at angel park at the same time for less.
Let me start by saying the course was nice and well kept. My actual golf experience was great. Aside from that, I’m looking to purchase a home in the community and went today to see what the course and clubhouse were like. Upon arriving just shy of 10 minutes early for our tee time we were told we needed to “hurry it up”, after that the starter shuffled us to the tee box quickly, sat and waited for us to tee off, and mentioned to my partner that we need to make sure we’re observing pace of play and being courteous. We were paired with a single waiting at the tee box and were then informed that unless someone wanted to pay the $20 for the third cart it would “be a problem” and was reluctant to let the single keep it despite him agreeing. We then played 18 holes of overbooked tee times waiting average of 10 minutes per hole on the tee boxes. 4 and a half hours for a 5900 yard par 70. Experience wasn’t the worst and I liked the course but an hesitant to go back and pay for another tee time to get such poor service from the staff.
This golf club offers a pleasant, community-centered experience with a well-maintained layout. The course is fairly short and ideal for casual play or those seeking a relaxed round. The fairways are straightforward, with some narrow sections that add challenge, but overall, it’s accessible to all. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is friendly, making it a great spot for both local players and visitors looking for a quick, enjoyable round.
