Toiyabe Golf Course is a golfing oasis blessed with captivating views of Mt. Rose and the picturesque Washoe Valley. The backdrop of the towering Mt. Rose, with its snow-capped peaks or lush greenery depending on the season, adds a touch of majesty to your golfing experience. As you navigate the fairways of Toiyabe, the panoramic views of the Washoe Valley unfold before you. The valley's beauty is on full display, with its rolling hills and tranquil landscapes. It's as if the course is a gateway to nature's splendor. Whether you're perfecting your swing or sinking a putt, the presence of Mt. Rose and the Washoe Valley provides a constant reminder of the stunning surroundings. The course itself is meticulously maintained, with greens and fairways that complement the natural beauty of the area. In summary, Toiyabe Golf Course is a golfer's paradise, not only for its well-kept course but also for the awe-inspiring views of Mt. Rose and the Washoe Valley. Fair course in good condition and true rolling greens. Pretty wide fairways and windy in the afternoon. Play it smart and you will do good here. The back 9 is a little more challenging and softer (mud) fairways.

Had a chance to play a practice round here before the actual tournament. The place is clean and well run. Course is in great shape with interesting holes, some forced carrys, and holes that require you to shape shots off the tee to get in the right position for the best approach angle. You will want to play a practice round first if not familiar with the routing as there are small creeks and hazzard areas cutting across a few fairways and in front of a couple of greens. Speaking of greens, they roll fast and true, but have tricky undulations to challenge your green reading ability. A definite "must play" if you are in the Carson City area.
