What people say about (Tapawingo National Golf Club)

Do you love going to the restroom and feel like money? If you answered “yes,” this is the place for you. The restrooms are so nice that if you pee on the seat, you want to clean it up because you will feel a sense of guilt, and dread if you don’t. The smell of the restroom is a delightful vanilla (which is a nice surprise for a men’s restroom). The wallpaper is beautiful and feels almost like wood. If I were to give one critique it would be cleaning the paper towel dispensers. Though they are esthetically pleasing, each one needs a good dusting. Also, the large garbage can seems out of place and is too large for the space. Any points I would take away for this, I give back for the beautiful backlit mirrors. They give me a hotel vibe which I love. Overall such a positive experience using the restroom. 4.75 Stars!

Tapawingo Golf Course is beautifully maintained from fairways to greens. The fall scenery is stunning, and the staff in the pro shop and starter are friendly and polite. I captured drone footage and made YouTube video to share!

This place loves to promote junior golf! When I called and asked if my 7 year old could ride along and take some shots they said yes, they wouldn't charge. As most courses do with no questions asked (crystal highlands (doesn't charge till 12), Annbriar, Gateway...all better courses by the way). After all it's a freaking 7 year old who hits the ball 50 yards and picks it up until he can putt. So get to hole 1 and they send Barney Fife out, who I guess thinks he's running St Louis Country Club cuz he is ADAMANT I need to pay for my 7 year old...the cost? $35!!! Mind you my greens fee was $48 so 10 bucks less for a 7 year old to prob hit a total of 30 shots thru the round....most being putts. Barney proceeds to tell me they don't even have a junior rate, just charge a 'ridealong fee ' which makes it even more bizarre that if he were just riding along it's 10 dollars less than an actual round of golf. Long story short, don't support this place, I've taken him to almost every course in STL and no one's ever had an issue. In fact most places joke around with him and encourage him. Not this place, he felt like a burden! After Barney made a scene, my son goes 'sorry you had to pay dad'. To top it off at the end he tried to get tough and goes if you have any more issues you can contact our club pro like I'm intimidated by a mid tier public course pro I guess? Much better courses with more laid back staff to give your money to. Edit: Now that I look at their website either Barney didn't pass 4th grade or they just scam people, here is what their site says Each non-golfing rider will be charged a fee of $25 Monday thru Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday non golfing riders will be charged $35. Today is Thursday ya?? Yet he charged me $35? Welp that charge is getting disputed, hope it was worth the bad press!!
