Oak Valley Golf Course &Resort

It's an amazing location with a beautiful scenic lake. Laid out with the mighty Mississippi as a backdrop!!! Come out in August on the 24th for the MMP Classic

I would not recommend playing Oak Valley this year. We played their last week and lost many balls each because the clovers so high in and off the Fairway. Some of tee boxes are pure dirt and the bunkers are not raked. We only saw two workers on the entire course for the 4 1/2 hours we were there. I like the layout but the conditions are awful. Better luck next year.

I was trying to enjoy the weather and fish at the lake. I was fishing in my kayak and I was across the lake. I hear and see this couple at the shore yell at me to come to them. Me think it was because I didn’t get a fishing pass but I’m a member and didn’t think I needed one. As I’m approaching them the male starts yell at me say that no boats are allowed in the water. I replied and said I did not know that. (I’m in the process of paddling to the shore) He still is raising his voice at me saying that there are signs that say that. I replied saying I didn’t see the signs where I parked and he said they were down the road. I kept saying I didn’t know as I was trying to get out of the water. He said that he could call the cops if I wanted him to. I told him he can but I was getting out. The wife finally spoke to me and very rudely said that I can drag my kayak down to my truck which was probably 300 yards from me. He said that the owner is on his way to talk to me. As I was getting out of the water the maintenance guy pulled up which he was very nice. He explained that the signs are not super obvious but it’s because of insurance. I explained I just didn’t see the sign and understand the rule. The maintenance guy explained to me that the couple was the camp ground hosts. It would be one thing for them to be so rude if I wasn’t cooperating with them but they were very rude from the beginning to the end. If I was the owner that couple would not be who’s hosting my campground. Me and my wife love camping and have actually camped at oak valley. The only reason this review gets 2 stars is because of how nice the maintenance guy was.
