What people say about (Timbers Golf Club)

Duane W

First time playing here. Staff were great and very friendly. The clubhouse was a little sparse on the stock but the course definitely made up for that. I really enjoyed the layout of this course. Made me think about placing some of my shots rather than just teeing it up and letting it fly. Fairways were in great shape, greens were also in great shape. Some spots here and there but nothing that affected play. A couple of the tee boxes could have used some TLC but most of them were good. The bunkers actually had sand instead of the gravel mix you encounter at other courses. The cart paths were all paved. They were winding in and out of the woods which included crossing several wood bridges. There were some blind shots and some with water. All in all a fun course to play!

May 25, 2025 Well that'll probably be the last time I play this course. From The moment I walked in the clubhouse everything was wrong. Upon checking in we were told that they had no carts available and even though we had a tee time in 20 minutes there were 3 groups ahead of us waiting for carts to come in so they can start their round. At that point we knew we should've just left but it's limited in that area so we gave it a shot since we do like the course. Terrible mistake. Groups of 5+ all over the course, groups skipping holes and jumping in front of others. I think I counted 20 people trying play the same hole from tee to the green and waiting. The clubhouse had no answers and frankly didn't care about managing the course at all. Worst experience on a course maybe ever.

Played this course today and WOW! IT'S GONE DOWN HILL! Almost all the greens and fringe are burned out and patchy due to disease and lack of care ie: fertilizer and water. I understand it's been a hot summer but if other courses can look amazing under the same conditions why can't this one? Lack of care for what they have is what it boils down to! Alot of the tee boxes and fairways are gone as well, patchy dirt and patchy grass as is the photos. The only fix is to reseed, fertilize and water. Which theirs no sign of that happening. I took photos (below). I had to stop taking photos because it was sad for me to see the course go down hill when it is too be very nice. This course is now close to closing under the new owner, I've seen many courses that when this starts they usually close in a year or so since they just let it go. I used a group golfer for $20 bought earlier in the year and feel that that was an over payment and most likely not buying anymore for this course. AVOID PLAYING/PAYING HERE UNTIL THEY SHOW THEY KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN THE COURSE PROPERLY!!! To the Timbers: please don't respond with contact me via email so we can discuss my issue/concerns- JUST DO what is necessary to bring this course back to nice playable shape!
