I cannot express enough how much I appreciate this golf course. From the welcoming atmosphere in the clubhouse to the meticulously maintained greens, this venue truly embodies the spirit of golf. It serves as an ideal location to introduce my ten-year-old son to the game. The course consistently maintains excellent conditions, featuring a variety of tee options and a diverse mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s. The front nine offers a more open layout suitable for longer drives, while the back nine presents a series of engaging challenges and surprises. Additionally, I have established a women's league that meets every Monday evening in the summer, further enhancing my enjoyment of this course. I wouldn't choose any other place. I wholeheartedly rate it five stars!

It's like a breath of fresh air has swept through the entire facility! The course itself is simply breathtaking. The scenic views are truly stunning, offering a picturesque backdrop to every hole. What's even more impressive is the impeccable maintenance. The greens are consistently smooth and fast, the fairways are like carpets, and even the bunkers are meticulously raked. You can tell a real pride in the course upkeep is now a priority. Dave, the manager and teaching pro, has been an absolute game-changer. He's not only incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with his fantastic teaching skills, but he's also fostered such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, Dave makes you feel right at home and is always willing to offer a helpful tip or a friendly word. The difference in the overall vibe since he took over from the previous management is night and day – the energy is just so much more positive and engaging. Beyond the exceptional golf, Lake Monterey offers some fantastic extras. The music bingo and karaoke nights are a blast and provide a unique way to socialize and enjoy the company of fellow golfers and community members. And for those post-round refreshments, the beer selection is excellent, catering to a variety of tastes. What truly sets Lake Monterey apart is the incredible value it offers.
