I am so thankful to have a ranger out there on the weekends. It's not fun playing behind a 5some who think it's fine if they are scrambling. It's Not! Thank you for keeping play moving and asking golfers to play by the course rules. Keep up the good work!!
I have never been harassed so much by an employee of a golf course. It’s not my problem you over booked the course. Had a group of 5 that booked over a week in advance. First hole she was already telling us to move faster, split us into 2 groups which was fine. Then we caught a group of 5 and were waiting on every hole. So, all 5 of us trying to keep the pace up would just tee off instead of making everyone behind us wait for 2 separate groups to go. She hawked us every hole, then kicked us out on the 7th hole.
I’m extremely disappointed with the treatment my group and I received during our recent visit to this course. We booked a tee time over a month in advance for a bachelor weekend trip and made the drive from Nashville, TN, looking forward to a great golf experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from welcoming. Upon arrival, we were followed by a staff member from the parking lot all the way to the course. Despite being respectful and cooperative throughout, we were made to feel like we were doing something wrong from the start. Our group had five players — and we fully understand that most courses prefer no more than four. Without any resistance, we followed instructions and split into a group of two and a group of three, as requested. Even after complying, we were continuously followed and monitored at nearly every hole. Eventually, we caught up with the group ahead of us, and with no one behind us for several holes, we decided to play together again to maintain the pace of play. We were not being disruptive, loud, or causing any delays. After teeing off on Hole 7, the same staff member who had been following us approached again, claimed (inaccurately) that she had warned us multiple times, and insisted that one of us return to the clubhouse with her. At that point, we decided it was best to leave the course entirely rather than escalate the situation. While I hesitate to assume intent, it’s difficult to ignore how we — a mostly Hispanic group — were treated in what is clearly a predominantly white, upscale area. The experience felt targeted and discriminatory, and it left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I would not recommend this course to anyone looking for a fair, inclusive, and respectful golf experience. I sincerely hope the management reflects on how situations like this are handled in the future.
