Absolutely fantastic course. Staff was super friendly and the views were amazing. Very well kept course. Fantastic course at a great value.
A beautiful course in Brooklyn Michigan. So short that at 70 years old I played the back tees (White). 5472 yards. Par here is 34/35-69. No slope rating given. Very tight and rolling, you wont get many flat lies here. Manage your game and the course. I left the driver in the bag most of the day and managed an 84 round. Undulated greens break every which way. Very scenic course, fairways are excellent. One of the only problems I had is that I could not enter my GAM score after the round because it has not been rated in the last 10 years per the GAM/USGA standards. Other than that, staff was very friendly, bar was great. Cost reasonable for a Sunday morning round.
I arrived without a tee time looking to play 18 holes. Single golfer must be a challenge for starters. Not so. A very warm welcome from a lady who turned out to be the owners' daughter. The front 9 is busy but quieter later on. I'll put you out on the back 9 first. The course was in fantastic condition. A real tribute to hard working green keeping staff. The real shame was the number of pitch marks on otherwise immaculate and speedy greens. Shame on ignorant and lazy golfers who could not be bothered to repair their pitch marks. Unlikely they had the skilll to be spinning the ball back so almost certainly they walked past them. Hill's Heart is a must for every golfer to play. 12 out of 10 in my book. Very well done.
