What people say about (Cracklewood Golf Club)

Charles Gardiner

I have been golfing here for years and have always been served professionally and very respected by all that are employed by Cracklewood. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to play golf, use the driving range or have some good bar food and a beer. Great place.

Great course, terrible customer service. Waited 2 years to play here, finally got a tee time. Was greeted by a starter who threatened to not let us play if we did not team up with another pair after book 2 weeks out. The guy behind the counter was no help. Clean up your employees an this would be a great place

They always pack in tee times far too close together here, which is why we only play here once or twice a year. They don't have online booking, so it's not clear what the tee time spacing is, but no way it's more than 8 minutes apart. I'm guessing 7 or 8. The first 3 holes always takes an hour to play. This was yet another 5 hour round, and it's completely the fault of management for packing players in. I don't understand why course owners do this. I know the idea is more revenue, but it's incredibly short sighted. One, our group would always come in after the rounds for a couple of drinks and some food, but after 5 hours, we just want to get the hell out of there. So there's lost revenue, and because of the length of time for a round, we just don't play here very much, more lost revenue. It's too bad too. They have a good grass range, targets to hit at, and the course layout is fun (would love to see a hybrid tee setup as whites are too short and blues are too long). While you're not going to expect something in the realm of the Orchards (golf carts need sand bottles to fill divots as the fairways are beat to hell), the greens are usually in good shape, albeit on the slow side. Side note: There was an incredibly obnoxious drunken (is there any other kind?) of outing 3-4 groups behind us. Music just CRANKED up and guys screaming every 5 minutes. I mean, SCREAMING. Ranger did nothing. "Zoo" is the best way to describe it, although that gives zoos a bad name. C'mon folks, have some respect for others. The fact that the course did nothing for this idiots just tells me where their priorities are.
