What people say about (Stony Point Golf Course)

Connie Boncher

Very friendly staff. Nice, scenic 9 hole course-3 sand traps and 11 ponds. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Judy Larry Gonser

Much better maintained course than it used to be. Can be challenging for some of us hackers, but a great looking course and well worth a few bucks. Great exercise if you walk.

I have a USGA 4 handicap and have played a ton of courses. This is one of the tightest courses I've ever seen! Accurcay off the tee is paramount. I suggest moving up a tee box closer than your are used to. Take 3W instead of driver, etc... The fairways are very nice (and tightly mown) and greens are very big...but not much room to miss. And theres not much the course can do to make it more playable as there is swamp/water surrounding almost every hole. You get what's there. One thing they MUST do is move the holes more often. It's a labor-only cost and needed as all the holes were very "hairy" with grass overgrowing the cup. Tough to putt. If you're feeling a bit cocky about your golf games, this course may humble ya! (Certain to be easier the more you play it).
