Played here quite a few times now. The course conditions are good, not exceptional. The greens are in very good shape but they’re pretty fuzzy and slow. This did not take away from the experience. The owner lives on the course has a super cool dog that we’ve always stopped to play with during our round. This time Chris (the owner) drove out to us on the 18th fairway so we could hang with Bobbie (the dog) for a second! How cool! The course is very scenic and it’s pretty challenging. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We intend on making it a trip a couple of times a year moving forward (about 1.5 hours away).
Great value. Good front 9, up north feel on the back. Play moves pretty fast. Nice greens, well kept.
Memorial Day, wish I could say the same about our visit today on the 4th of July. Booked a tee time for the 5th for 5 people, had no problem and no mention of having to golf completely separate from each other. We decided to move our time up to the day prior (the 4th) because we drove by and it wasn’t busy, when we called my boyfriend was met with attitude and hostility on the other end. Threatened that if we didn’t stay separate from the rest of our group that he (Dock) would take the keys and kick us off the course. We were more than polite and respectfully asked questions and were met with a “my way or the highway mentality.” Dock threw in our two club rentals for free which in theory would’ve been nice, but in reality we’re just young adults trying to learn golf and wanted to be taught together. If the course were busy I’d get the frustration on his end, but it was the slowest I’ve seen it in a while. Needless to say, we’ll be rethinking golfing here again especially if Dock is on the receiving end of the phone call and seems to be having a rough day.
