Talked to someone who was in charge and they explained the issues with Maitenence and enviromental effects that caused the fairway issues. They are not in good shape. But if they can address it and make them lush again, this course is great. Its fun, its open enough to allow you the chance to recover from bad shots. I did a stay and play and thought the Gailles was really fun. Cool layout, great design.
Probably the worst golf experience I've ever had. 6 hour round and the course is completely dead and in absolute disrepair. At one point it looked like we were on the moon.
This course has so much potential. The views, layout, design and scenery are amazing, really does remind me of Scotland links. Hills of fescue, berms, plentiful bunkers, and undulating greens and fairways. The issue is the general maintenance and upkeep, lack of signage, golf karts (mine had little to no brakes). I heard the former general manager is back to restore the whole resort back to its former glory. If you enjoy links style courses this place is as close as it gets and if you are in the area it’s worth a shot.
