What people say about (Hampshire Country Club)

Richard Parcell

This is one of my favorite courses. It is open enough you can hit long drives, but has a lot of challenging holes. Being a 36 hole course makes it nice. Has some water, lots of woods.

Hands down the single worst course I have played. All of this is due to lack of maintenance, there is no “fairways” on this course so to speak, all of the grass is mowed the same length all throughout the course. The greens are 4-5 different patches and shades of green and brown grass. Tee boxes were normal like any other course I have played so no complaints in that department, my main issue were the greens in which they were so under kept that it was extremely difficult to even gauge anything. Extremely disappointed

Both courses are fun and challenging to play. I have played these courses since I was young and love them but can no longer stand to play here. The staff in the pro shop are not only rude but just plain mean to people. The small lady in there not only will try to belittle you but just walk away if you ask a simple question. They make you feel like you are an inconvenience for coming to play there and hurry you off the course as quickly as possible. I have put up with this for multiple years but it just keeps getting worse. Today I was told I couldn’t golf 9 holes with a cart because I arrived at 3:30 and you can’t take a cart out past 3pm. I just played the Sunday before and the same guy working the counter let me take a cart out at 4:15pm and said be back by 6:30pm. As soon as I reminded him of this he shook his head and said I don’t have time for this. I understand that it is October but we were blessed with 65 degree weather and it doesn’t get dark until 6:45. Pace of play is 2 hours and I would have finished by 5:20 tops. Just 0 customer service here and down right rude.
