Beautiful course. Great price. Many of the holes you feel so isolated in a good way, so many trees you surround them it feels like it’s the only hole for miles. So peaceful and well kept. This is an amazing golf course.
Play this course and BYOB! We thought, for the price, and the fact that we had never heard of this course, that it might earn 3 stars. But what a pleasant surprise. The course is a classic ‘Michigan Up North course with tight, tree-lined fairways, a little water, natural landscaping, and interesting greens. You can’t see one hole from the next. The course is in great shape, having mostly recovered from a lightening-caused irrigation problem. The tee boxes and fairways are green, the rough is fair. The putting greens are pristine. We saw no signs of summer burnout in mid September. New hole markers and ball washers. Comfortable gas carts. Go see for yourself before the word gets out and they raise their greens fees. The owners also own a couple motels and campground in Mackinaw City, just 5 miles away. Ask about stay/play discounts. No, I don’t work for them, they just deserve a current positive review. (And with no liquor license, you can bring your own cooler)
We came here for the first time and had a great time. Starting from the moment we walked into the pro shop, Carter was great! He helped us get everything we needed and was so nice and professional! We will definitely visit here again when we are back in the area!
