What people say about (International City Golf Club)

Lewis McCoy, Jr.

I am seeing improvements in the course every time I go there. We had our scholarship tournament here. The course was in good shape and the staff was spectacular! Shawn Hodge in particular was so very helpful and so very patient. He made the entire experience easy and enjoyable. I don’t know if he is up for promotion or a raise but I would recommend that you give him both!

OK first of all, I like that there are no teetimes walk-on’s only. Also, they do not have the rule that nonmembers have to wait till 1 o’clock to get on the course like the other courses in the area. People at the clubhouse/pro shop are always friendly. I love going there in the morning to the driving range and hit a couple of balls. Never super busy but always super nice people there. Now, when it comes to the course in the condition, I have to say that the greens are in excellent condition on 16 of the 18 holes look beautiful, but they’re very slow so keep that in mind if you played any other golf course in Warner Robins area these are probably the slowest greens out there. To be fair, I played when there was not much rain lately, and the ground was super hard. The fairways were super dried out, but I love the layout of the course. And I think if there would be more rain, the fairways would probably look better as well. But wet as dry as it has been a Fairway’s have been super hard greens have been super hard, and even the Bunkers were so hard that when we actually hit one ball into the bunker, it bounced out of the bunker for another 30 yards. All in all course has a super nice layout. It could be a little bit better from the course condition, but on the other hand, it is also pretty cheap for a full round with cart.

I wish there was one good thing I could say about this course, but there isn’t. Fairways, greens, and bunkers are all terrible. Isn’t this course getting city money? It’s obviously lining someone’s pocket. I hope they can change the direction before the land is turned into a subdivision.
