What people say about (The Sports Club at Braelinn)

Laura Bentley

First experience here was a good one. Lots of options and plenty of room even though there were other people working out nearby. I really liked all of the TRX system options. I plan to keep going and would love to add more detail but wanted to at least add some photos from today since there aren’t many on here! The kids club was great for my toddler and Ms. Taylor was great with her! My toddler is excited to go with mommy to the gym again soon! I look forward to trying some of the classes. My husband enjoyed all of the weight machines and the Sauna! The view overlooking the pool and newly redone tennis courts are gorgeous. The whole facility was clean and thoughtfully designed. I love how conveniently close it is to my house. We already are enjoying the pool and dining options, so glad we tried the gym too and happy to have it as a part of our membership.

Clean with great staff, but the hours are too short and they need better weight equipment, specifically cable machines like FreeMotion or Cybex.

I recently visited the Braelinn pool with the kiddos I nanny and overall had a fantastic experience. The facility itself is top-notch, and the staff, for the most part, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, there were a couple of aspects that slightly tarnished an otherwise enjoyable visit. There was one aspect that became a source of frustration during my visit. Every 10 minutes or so, the lifeguards would blow their whistle and ask everyone to get out of the pool for no apparent reason. The weather was perfect and everyone was following directions. One time I overheard the lifeguards say to each other that the reason they told everyone to get out for one of them to take a bathroom break. It was perplexing to witness this interruption, especially when there were three other lifeguards available who could have easily swapped out for a short period, allowing the others to take a break without disturbing the flow of the swimmers. To make matters worse, every time the whistle was blown, the lifeguards would often gather around a table and engage in conversations, sometimes for 15-20 minutes at a time. This left parents and children waiting impatiently while the lifeguards chatted, creating an atmosphere of frustration and impatience. While it's understandable that the lifeguards need breaks and downtime, it would be more efficient and considerate to have a system in place where they can rotate without interrupting the swimmers' experience. This way, the pool can continue to operate smoothly, and visitors can enjoy uninterrupted pool time without unnecessary pauses. Despite these frustrations, I still believe the pool is worth a visit. Its remarkable facilities and friendly staff create an enjoyable environment for both individuals and families. Hopefully, the management will address the issue of the whistle interruptions and ensure a smoother experience for all patrons. With a few adjustments, this pool could easily become a five-star destination for water enthusiasts. Note: This review reflects my personal experience and opinions during my visit to the pool.
