What people say about (Houston Springs Golf Club)

Well folks, I was pleased to see a course pop up where I never thought I'd see one. (Graduated high school in '83 and moved ) but it is not comparable to true 18 hole courses like Houston lake etc. But if you wanna just get out and play a tune up round it's a good choice. Best regards, A.P.M .

Front 9 holes are good, wise fairways. Greens have lots of leaves every where depending on what time of year you play. All greens are NOT the same, some fast, some slow, but they are getting better. As of 9-10-2024, nice course but bumpy at times. Good course to learn on. If you stay on cart path on the back nine, you’ll find ALL the tee boxes. The back 9 is layed out very strangely and its very narrow. You’ll work on your short game for sure. It’s a great experience! Play out often and you’ll get the hang of it. Hit um straight guys and gals!

I live in Houston County and have played all the courses in this county dozens upon dozens of times in the last few years. I logged 87 rounds of golf last year. This course is by far the worst one. The staff were very friendly and helpful & I have zero complaints on that. The course however……yikes! The fairways have ZERO turf. They look like what you would see at a public recreational park ball field. Basically mowed weeds. Each fairway was simply mowed weeds and dirt patches. The greens were SMALL! Some greens were maybe 8 yards wide by 10 yards in length! Smaller than most backyard patios! So, definitely challenging to hit! The greens also were terribly turfed. They were thick and were filled with different weeds. When I putted my ball, it looked like it was playing the Plinko game on the Price is Right game show. It bounced left & right all the way to the hole. Even putts from 3 feet were almost unmake-able due to the conditions. Now, if you want a course that isn’t very packed with golfers and somewhere you can take a beginner golfer and not feel rushed. This might be for you. Just don’t expect much when putting. I played on a Tuesday and It cost me $28 for 18 holes with a cart. I wished they had more money to put into the course…..will I play here again….? Probably not.
