This course was never high end but at least it used to be a good value 20-some years ago when I first started playing it. I know some things can’t stay cheap forever but $40 a round for 18 holes’ worth of dirt, weeds and mud while having constantly stop and wait for the mowers to get out of your way isn’t acceptable. One of my shots last round came down smack in the middle of the fairway and a huge cloud of dust kicked up when it landed. My partner and I couldn’t do much about it but laugh. It’s a shame how far this place has fallen. They need to either put in the effort to get it into shape or charge $20 a round for the condition it’s in now. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 just because of the fond memories I have here. It has potential, but there’s a lot of work to be done.
Front nine greens are little rough. Back nine greens are good overall course is in great shape. Pleasant and friendly staff. Pricing is awesome $10 for burgers and fries ! Burgers are freshly made not frozen. Ask about rewards card it's worth it. I got mine
The course is currently taking on redoing all the greens, so the hole location is a little off and not on the best grass conditions. Overall, the course has some pretty challenging holes, with some water that is pretty tricky not to lose a few balls in. It's a great time for beginners and we had a blast because the prices are a lot cheaper because of the renovations. Only like $28 which you can't plan anywhere close to that in Tampa. It really has a hometown, community feel, and the guys in the pro shop are super nice. Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon on a golf course and get some great tan lines!
