Falcon Watch Golf Club

There is no rating for ZERO stars so this one gets just a 1 star. Visiting family in Sun City Center on vacation from West Coast. Shipped my clubs with hopes to play a few rounds while here. Decided on Falcon Watch -- Upon check in, staff were mildly friendly but clearly "rushed" with no time for someone new/visiting with any questions about the course/club. Course was average at best, many fairways were weed-riddled, tee boxes mediocre condition and many greens in need of care - some dire. Course play was less than positive with the supposed "Men's Group" referred to as "The Hogans" (I learned later). As a single with my own Tee Time, a four-some came up behind me, first questioning why I was by myself - then stated with a clearly indignant tone that "We are members with a men's group playing - you need to let us play through". As a member of the Board of my local Golf and Country Club, I'm pretty sure the last I looked, a foursome's pace-of-play is 4 times greater than a single's. Being a visitor, I politely stepped aside. Then as the SHOCK in my eyes revealed, these arrogant "Members" drove one of their carts ON TO THE GREEN! Yes, this is not a typo - I said ON to the Green. This was seen with mine own eyes not once but thrice before I was able to flag down a Ranger - he approached them and apparently spoke to them but to no avail - they continued doing this. Another two-some came up behind me and had witnessed the same from this group. I was so appalled, I simply pulled anchor and exited the course. Been playing since 1983, long standing member of USGA and current member of the Board of my local Golf and Country Club - I have played many, many courses across the country due to heavy travel for business - I have never had such a negative experience playing golf in the United States and the lack of common Golf Etiquette. I will NOT play Falcon Watch ever again and would not recommend this course to anyone.

Course was in fair condition. Greens 7 out of 10.. Not very long even from back tees. Pace of play excellent. A $25.00 course not $34.00 with tax. Not overly challenging for advanced golfer..

Green has weeds. Fairway has weeds. This place is cheap because they don't take care of it. You get what you pay for, don't pay for this place. Staff is very rude!
