Fox Run Golf Course Starter Shack

The golf course is in well-maintained excellent condition, offering stunning views. Moreover, the staff is friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist.

Though I have lived here for 7 years, and used the driving range several times, I decided to help a friend who is a novice golfer and play 9 at Fox. This was my first time on any course in the Villages and it was a terrible experience from the overbearing ranger who interrupted us 3 times , the last with the pro shop manager. The course was practically empty and this being my first time there, we did our best to stay out of other’s way and even skipped a hole to get ahead. No one was ahead of us. I was told by a neighbor a couple years ago that residents played free and could have a guest. So we got our cart and the gentleman said the course was practically ours. By hole 3 we were being harassed for not paying first, and I explained that I was told otherwise so ranger took my ID and said we could pay after, only for him to return with the rude and condescending pro shop manager. Like some tattletale. After her words with me from her high cloud I was just done with it and drove back and paid and left. Of the courses I’ve played in this state over 30 years, this was the worst and most embarrassing experience I’ve ever had. Guess it’s true for some who age and revert back to childish and bullying behavior. I don’t mean everyone does this yet some do. Pity to pull some power play on someone who is halfway through 9 and basically drove us away. I’ll not recommend this course to anyone unless you enjoy condescending people ruining your whole day. Thanks a lot ranger boy and Elphaba. My pre-teen nieces and nephews have more manners and courtesy.

The starter at Glenview Fox Run on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings is very informative and pleasant. Makes it seem like he cares that you have a good day and round. David Gerisch should rate at least a 4.5
