What people say about (Club Connerton)

What a great community pool and activities area for the local attached subdivisions. Very clean, very spaceous and lots of fun. There young attendants to help smooth over any potential rule violations and they were awesome. We were there for a relatives birthday party and discovered how neat that place is especially for younger families living there. They have so much to offer, i.e. movie nights, game nights, special event parties etc.

This is an amazing community and neighborhood! The clubhouse is very spacious and always has events going on for the holidays. The gym and pool is very big and great for people of all ages!

This review is specifically about an experience with lap pool and silly rules not posted anywhere. This is not about the community as a whole. Connerton is a great community and do recommend living here. Club house staff need to revisit some of the rules and all uses of a lap pool. Went to pool with my son to swim laps and have him tread water to prepare for a test in watermanship. This is the new LAP pool. When we arrived, 6 kids and one adult in pool. Kids diving in the pool, head first. Not off the swim lane platforms but head first into the pool. Having fun! As expected. One adult doing the same. No issues. Not crowded and enjoying the pool. My son jumps in and does his laps. No issues. Nice and quiet and everyone having fun. Eventually everyone leaves and goes into the splash pool. My son now moves into 6 ft deep area to do water tread in same lane he did laps. After about 3 minutes a young staff member walks in and asks what my son is doing. I said he is treading water. Staff member says, 'What is that?'. I laughed and pointed at my son. Staff member promptly states my son has to be moving up and down the lane, it is a lap pool. Rules are rules. I was taken back and I requested if he could give us just a couple of more minutes since he was almost done. Staff member insisted we move to other pool with a bunch of kids. I asked how deep is the pool over there and he said 5 ft. I said defeats the purpose of treading water. But quickly told my son to start moving up and down the lane a few feet to avoid the conflict. Kid is doing his job. The issue I have is that we were doing something related to swimming and water skills. Kids are diving and jumping and horsing around, even though clearly states on sign 'NO DIVING' as well as tiles on pool. No one came in to enforce rules then. We finished up and I went to front to discuss with front desk. They said same, must be doing laps. I laughed because I saw the camera on the desk of the pool and pointed out the 3 kids doing cannon balls. Staff member stated oh, no kids are allowed in there. Yet, we had 4 kids without an adult and another 2 with an adult. What are the RULES? What is posted does not cover any of what we heard from staff. DO BETTER STAFF! If you want to say 'Rules are Rules' then enforce them all around and have a staff member sitting out there and not at a table on their phone checking social media. Also post on the RULES sign that the pool is for only laps. No treading, no water aerobics, nothing else. You can only go back and forth. I am sure everyone can see that is kind of absurd. It is a pool that can be used for exercise and covers multitude of uses. We may not be invited back, I believe my son swallowed pool water...lol.
