What people say about (Bay Point Golf Club)

Paul Schroeder

Nice layout, challenging, and beautiful. A little rough around the edges, but the greens and main playing areas were in good shape, except a few greens had some poa annua popping through. Golf carts did not have GPS, which is expected if paying $120+, but range balls were complementary.

The service at the carts and in the shop was very good. The course itself offered a nice variety of hole designs and I enjoyed the playing the course. Pay attention to your gps and the course booklet they give you. Most of the holes have water on them l. I got careless on 18 and hit my approach shot into the pond left of the green that i could not see. Hole 5 is target golf on all shots, it is by far the post card hole along the bay. Conditioning wise the tee boxes and fairways were in mostly good shape. The greenside bunkers were in outstanding shape. The only area that needs work are the greens. They were’nt bad, but definitely had some bumps and blemishes from poa growing on them.

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. $150 to play what is essentially a condominium development on what could have previously only been a goat ranch. Staff was rude, course was in terrible condition and the pro shop attendant claimed the course was in its “usual good condition”. Upon arrival there were a few people hanging out that smelled like cheap weed and mysteriously a box of golf balls ended up missing from one of our bags. The two guys that’s cleaned our clubs off after the round were very nice and deserve a better place to work and play. We also inquired as to membership cost and a $15k initiation fee along with roughly $800 a month to play this place is insane.
