What people say about (Dubsdread Golf Course)

Nothing to complain about Carrie was an attentive server. The kitchen was able to accommodate the dairy allergy and the food was delicious! The views of the course were great. I got the half sandwich (turkey) and chili (a little greasy but good) and my friend got the special chicken caprese sandwich. She loved it. Hidden gem! Make reservations if you want to eat inside. They have outdoor seating if you bring a four legged friend.

This course needs a lot of maintenance work. Starting off with the fairways that’ll bounce your ball about 6’ in the air, it’s definitely the driest course I’ve driven on in a long time. The hole on the golf course where my father lost his ball… picture below which not to mention is a safety hazard and just seemed like a half ass job to leave things like that. And let’s talk about the greens…. They all have weeds real bad which if you don’t have good greens what do you have? Husband and father were playing off the blue tees and on 4 holes the tees were right behind each other. I mean the blue and black ball markers were literally touching each other. Another form of laziness right there. Their sand bunkers were bout the only thing I could say were in good condition oh and the water traps. Moving forward the starter had a problem with the guys in front of us. They were moving slow and unfortunately backed up not just us and the people behind us but the people behind them as well. My husband teed off I want to say hole 4. After waiting 10 minutes at the tee box. We genuinely thought the guys were far enough but my husband got a real good piece on the ball plus ya know how dry the course is so of course it had to roll up next to the guys playing in front. The starter then came up to us and told us it was bad golf to be hitting like that. My husband explained to him it’s bad golf to let these guys in front of us back everyone up and that we had waited a while to tee off, didn’t think he was going to drive that far considering again the dryness of the course and we all yelled far just in case. The starter continued on saying we could have started a problem. So I finally asked him “well when a team like this in front of us backs us up this much and we are getting pushed up on by two other teams what can you do to manage these guys?” He finally did his job and left us alone. He had the guys in front of us play faster. He watched them for about two more holes and we had no other issues after that. But the fact the starter even gave us an issue after seeing the whole picture really rubbed me the wrong way. The atmosphere of this course gave me the pussification of America. Won’t be coming back here and will not be recommending to family or friends. Don’t even think about eating at the taproom if you want to see my experience there go take a look at that review as I had an all around horrible experience at this course.

Fantastic bargain! Most area courses were asking in excess of $100 but this one was a little more than half that and worth every penny. The pro shop you was one of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. Free range balls to warm up and tee times were running right on time. Great course conditions with beautiful fairways and smooth quick greens. Definitely a bit shorter than the average course but it had a number of tees to choose from. They even had a roving ranger who asked the group in front of us to pick it up a little. Can’t ask for anything more from a golf course. I highly recommend it.
