What people say about (Webb's Reserve Golf Club)

Marcel Stadtmann (Cityman)

Played Webb’s Reserve recently and was impressed by the course conditions and layout. Fairways are wide and forgiving, but the greens are fast and well-protected, which adds a nice level of challenge. The overall design feels thoughtful and enjoyable for a variety of skill levels. While the clubhouse is still temporary and there’s ongoing construction around the area, the golf experience itself already feels premium. Looking forward to seeing how the full facilities and landscaping develop in the coming years.

Webb's Reserve is a new golf course in the Babcock Ranch mega-housing development. The clubhouse and surrounding areas are mainly under construction at this time. The aqua-range was well kept and practice area in great condition. The course layout was fun, well placed bunkers guarding certain fairways and a few holes with big risk/reward lines that could be taken. As others have said the green complexes were challenging but not offensive. I played the course on US Open Sunday and I can say that the rough was just as punishing as it looked to be at Oakmont CC. It was 4-6" (wispy/sparse st. augustine or zoysia?) just off the fairways in many places and basically unplayable. The layers of brown/dead cut grass sitting in the rough creating a nest underneath where the golf ball just disappears. I understand the desire to add difficulty with longer rough, but in this case, it was much more of a hassle to find the golf ball. IMO having a lost ball situation when rolling through a fairway by a yard or two (or less than a foot one time) is not my idea of a fair challenge. We would search and find the handful of other poor souls who's balls were just sitting at the bottom of the grass but you only have a chance of finding yours if you are right on top of it. All in all, I would go back and play again in the future.

Beautiful track. Actually enjoyed more than the national course. Lots of wildlife
