What people say about (The Club At Emerald Hills)

Michael Sprague

This is an absolute Beautiful course. It a very long and challenging round. Lots of water but big fairways and pretty greens. A few hole needed some work but overall this is a great course.

Avoid. 0/5 stars is more appropriate. The course is in horrendous condition and their “players card” rate comes out to $90. It is the same as Orangebrook and not much better than Greynolds Park. Most of the tee boxes are chewed up and do not have grass. Fairways are garbage weeds and chewed up. The greens are piss poor, lacking grass, and as bumpy as a gravel road. Bunkers are like old, wet concrete. If management does not want to maintain the course, just shut it down because right now they are effectively robbing people.

Had a great Friday afternoon round at Emerald Hills. Booked a round ahead of time on GolfNow for a $76/pp deal vs the regular fee of ~$100/pp. The two things that stood out the most to me here were a) how friendly the staff were and b) the great quality of the greens. - Cart staff were pleasant, brought out bottled water immediately, and made sure the cart was clean and charged. - Pro shop staff were very helpful in directing me around as it was my first time playing this course. Small bucket of balls for their grass range (rare commodity in public courses around here) was $7. - Course is fair, some tight fairways and well-placed water. Playing from the tips will put you at 7800, but there are multiple tee options that can challenge players at any level - Greens were smooth and well manicured. Likely a 7-8 on the stimp meter. Also a rarity for public courses in the Miami area. - Tee boxes were pretty shoddy, but about average for the area. - Pace is a bit slow but nothing a beer can’t solve Overall - great place to play, look for the deals **Back again 8 months later for a Friday afternoon round. Course still played well, pace as expected. A nice touch was my original booking was for 100/pp, but upon showing to the pro shop, the rate was dropped to $59/pp. Appreciated the lady giving me the flash updated rate versus what I had booked for.
