What people say about (Marcus Pointe Golf Club)

Poor Course Conditions & Unprofessional Management Played this course with an 8:12 AM tee time. Started with two 9-hole groups ahead of us, which created inevitable delays. The GPS-equipped carts constantly alert you when running 1-2 minutes behind pace, which becomes annoying throughout the round. The greens were in rough shape - I’d rate them 2 to 4 out of 10. Despite pro shop staff claiming the conditions are “phenomenal” and emphasizing their maintenance efforts, the reality on the course tells a different story. To their credit it did improve from a horrible condition. Pace of Play Issues: Unprofessional Staff Conduct: Most concerning was when pro shop staff drove out to our group and aggressively demanded we skip a hole to “help with pace.” This felt unfair since we weren’t actually holding up the group directly behind us or we would have let them play through if needed. Objectively, we were slower than usual but at no point the group of 8 behind us was hold up for more than 5 to 10 minutes. After skipping the hole as requested, the group behind us didn’t speed up anyway, meaning we sacrificed part of our paid round as scapegoat for the pro shop staff. Value: For this price range, Cypress Lakes and Osceola offer significantly better value and course conditions with a laid back vibe. The combination of poor greens, aggressive pace policing, and being forced to skip holes we paid to play makes this difficult to recommend. Course management needs to address their approach to customer service and realistic tee time spacing. Still a good course and challenging layout. But don’t expect the $75 compare to Osceola $45 to a be a significant quality improvement

Marcus Pointe Golf Club is a must-visit for any golfer in the area. The layout is enjoyable, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the team truly makes the experience memorable. The greens? A solid 4 out of 5 — not flawless, but still smooth and satisfying in all the right places but can tell they’ll be much improved soon as it seems they just for some major maintenance done. You can tell they’ve been taken care of, and they roll true enough to keep things exciting from start to finish. I had the chance to get a lesson from Lauren Lamm, and I can’t say enough good things. Lauren was sharp, encouraging, and helped me really get my swing into a better rhythm. Her approach is professional but relaxed, and she knows how to break things down to help it all click. Highly recommend getting on her calendar if you’re serious about improving your game. Between the gently rolling hills, the inviting fairways, and the helpful, friendly staff, Marcus Pointe delivers a great experience. If you’re looking for a place that’ll treat you right and leave you wanting just one more round… this is it!
