Amelia National - ICI Homes

This members only golf course is like a hidden Jewel. It’s meticulously maintained, well laid out with beautiful greens and fairways. The staff is extremely helpful. If you get a chance to play this course, do it for sure

We played Amilia National in mid February and I felt like I had died and went to golf heaven. The staff in the pro shop made me feel very welcomed. The practice range was excellent with a spacious iron range, separate chipping green and a huge practice green. The course was laid out beautifully and the greens roll smooth. Called in lunch from 9 tee and it was ready and hot on the turn. The burger was charbroiled and tasted fantastic. Play was a little slow and caught up to another twosome joined them and it carried to the nineteenth hole. The whole experience was so impressive that within a week I bought a house right on the course and can’t wait to spend more time there and in the beautiful pool as well as getting in better shape in the gym and, who knows, tennis anyone? This place is located north of Jacksonville and not exactly in Amelia Island so don't get confused by the name as I did. It's way up north and I felt it was quite far away from the metro area. The golf community is quite beautiful but they have additional fees for joining club etc. And some are mandatory. The rest of the communities are nearby but they are just basic. I could but find more pros of going that far than the cons of staying in a nicer community within St. Johns county.
