What people say about (Grassy Hill Country Club)

Sejmir Basuljevic

We had our wedding here on July 6th, 2025. It was an amazing experience and I feel I may be the only person on earth to say that my wedding planning was super easy even though it was not simple. We had an elegant event here and the staff (Especially Joe) helped us to make our dream wedding a reality. The venue provided amazing food and full service that we have never experienced at any other wedding before! They accommodated our halal diet and offered many different options and all were delicious. The speaker system was amazing and they let us use there equipment for speeches and audio. We will be booking any future events here and they will definitely see us return.

Overall, it was a great experience at this country club. The wait staff were phenomenal and catering to our every need. All I want to say is out of all the dishes they provided as entrees, the eggplant parmesan, chicken marsala, and some beef on tray, and roast beef and onions and peppers side of mashed potatoes for great and garlicky pepper green beans. As I mentioned the like dinner I believe was roast beef beautifully seasoned with pepper and garlic and salt. I have never been to this country club before but I can tell you I love to go back

I used to think golf was in same category as pizza and ice cream. Even when bad it’s still pretty good. This place changed that for me after 30 years of golf. First check in - the guy in pro shop just stared at me with this blank expression. Just weird. Next I get range balls to warm up. I’m handed a bucket of balls. The balls are covered in mud. That means someone took the balls, looked at them, and said “yea these look good”. Never seen that one before. Then I get my cart bc I was told can’t walk before 11. The cart was circa 1984. Gas powered and reeked of gas exhaust as you drove. Heavy gasoline smell. Ok for nascar, not really for golf. Ok next .. get to tee and paired up with a group. Two tee times ahead did not show so we were 2 slots behind the last group to tee off. So ok should move along. Starter is talking on telephone to I don’t know who and was still when we hit. There was no tee box but a mat to tee off from because under repair. Never seen that one before. Hit my ball and it ran quite a bit. Nice until I got to it and found out why … “fairway” hard as a rock. It has rained almost everyday for 2 months. Two holes run parallel to the 1st in opposite direction. As I got to my ball I’m in the middle of a shooting gallery. After successfully surviving (no fores yelled btw), I hit second shot on green .. ok. The rest of group I was paired up with caught up to me after their 4th to 6th shot. Ugh. Well ok that’s what can happen when play as a single. Finish hole and turn to next tee and the group in front (yes the one 2 slots ahead of us) is on the tee! I finished hole 2 bc the green was near parking lot and I walked off. I figured cut losses now and spare 6 more hours of torture. This course should be sold to a developer to build houses or for another purpose. And it was $75 to play this dog track to out dog track all dog tracks!
