What people say about (The Golf Club at Oxford Greens)

Bob D

This golf course has the greatest customer service in the history of golf courses. I called the pro shop to book a tee time. There was no answer which is typical for a pro shop on a busy morning. I believe his name is Nick I could be wrong. He called me back like 1 minute later and apologized for missing my call and booked a time for me. The staff at this place has done other things such as driving out to the 11th hole to offer us a free drink because we had to wait 2 extra seconds to tee off on 10. This service is totally out of the ordinary for a public golf course and unbelievabley phenomenal.

Overpriced for what you get. There is no water to drink for the golfers on the course, no gps on the carts and long waits between holes. Play Lyman Orchards instead… very comparable but much better experience.

This used to be a great course. The fairways and greens are good, but the bunkers absolutely suck. No other way of putting it. See attached pictures. It appears that the owners and management has given up on this place. Carts often don't make a full round. The batteries are shot. The rain covers don't stay up and the steering sucks on many. Gas carts have been brought in to replace the electric one's that are out of service. They don't have windshields or rain covers for the bags. Great for fall weather. Nothing like a brisk breeze beating you down on a cool October morning. They have too many tournaments on the weekend. Most I've done are always during the week. That kills prime time golf. There used to a great ranger and starter crew that kept things moving when it was busy. All the good ones were let go. Good luck finding one now. Finally, it appears to me, that the owners and management do not give the Greens keeping crew the financial support they should have. Getting back to my opening statement, fix the bunkers. If you like hitting through a cement like bunker with pea sized rocks, this is the place for you. The worst one is 16. The front half of 16 green is ruined due to peble damage. Well, enough of this. For the rates they charge, look elsewhere. PS: I played one day last week. A shotgun start due to weather. No one sent us out. People just headed out on their own. No rangers and water on course. We also had to have our cart replaced twice due to failed batteries.
