What people say about (Westwood Golf Club)

Kasey Roberts

The way players were treated for the cost makes it certain we won’t return. While parts of the course were well maintained, the cart paths that they insist you stay on are in such poor condition that it was a really unpleasant experience to ride on them. The one time we accidentally went off the cart path on a Par 4, we were promptly corrected by staff. We then saw that staff driving by us for two more holes. In addition, most of the tee boxes are really poorly maintained. In particular, the women’s tees were atrocious. Aside from them being primarily dirt, a handful of them were 5 feet wide or less. One could not have been more than 3 feet. I had to play in front of the tee box to even begin to get a swing in. In addition, as my glove had worn down pretty badly by the turn, I went into the Pro Shop and was told they don’t carry ANY women’s gloves. With women being the fastest growing demographic in golf, it’s unconscionable that they wouldn’t carry a basic necessity for women to play the game. Everything the other reviews say about the regulations being a tad much for the course conditions are true. Your money is better spent at a course that will provide a more inclusive experience with better conditions.

Westwood is not a $90 course, sorry guys. Course is in decent shape but no (real) cart paths, no ball cleaners, tee times are over-stacked, course plays very slow, and then you get to walk your bag a 1/4 mile back to your vehicle due to the archaic (and very uncommon) "no carts in the parking lot" rule. Too many other better-value and golfer-friendly options out there so thats where my future business will be going

The course is in average condition. The cost is outrageous for what you are getting. No senior rates on Fridays. No fees posted on line! Fees subject to change at anytime!! $70+ to walk the course, are you kidding me!! The Grounds crew riding through backswings multiple times during the round. No chance that I will come back to this course. Many other options ( better courses) for much less. This place is a total rip off.
