What a gem! A great golf course to play. On a recent visit, 8 of us played 72 holes in 2 days and it just seemed to get better as we played. Never got tired of the layout, we want to do it again!
Quality track! 😃 Never gets old or over practiced. Have played tournament and personal rounds. The management, they own surrounding lands too, takes great care of the property. Sorry to hear closing. (Water concerns. Draught.) Hopefully the course will be kept in a neutral state and reopened later when draught concerns fade. 😉
Myself and a golf buddy take turns each year to go on a multi-day golf trip. Last year it was Santa Barbara, this year it was Stevinson Ranch and DiabloGrande. This review is about Stevinson. We really agree it is a challenging, creative and interesting course. We like the cottage #101 we stayed in. We went January 6 & 7. The cottage was neat, clean quiet and a stone's throw from the driving range. The pool was not operational unless you like your water in the 50s. There is a saloon 3 miles from the golf course gate called Stevinson Bar & Grill offering the best steak sandwich I've ever had. The saloon is itself an amusement, dollar bills attached to the walls and ceitling!? We had dinner there to watch the BCS national championship, then returned to the restaurant the following day on the way home to order take out for the long trip back. The golf course club house referred us to restaurant for a good (not fancy) place to dine. The course management and staff on and off the course who we encountered were all polite, courteous and friendly. The greens are very fast, looked a little under maintained. We heard when making arrangements for the booking, there was a fire. On arrival we saw trailers for the clubhouse/food service, and other offices..Overall a true golfer will really like this place.
