The Golf Mart

I hadn't played in 13 years. Was a 5. The tech has obviously changed. Still I was suspicious - clubs are pricey. I met Eric and he talked to me for a while about my game, about golf in general and calmed me - he really cared about me getting the right sticks. He introduced me to Patrick (the fitter - this guy knows his stuff - guessed my ball speed to the mile per hour without seeing my swing somehow) and he found a new set that I bought after trying them on the range with him. I thought I'd need a senior shaft (I was playing a stiff before) but Patrick guided me to a light (50 gram/driver) regular for the swing I had now and the goals I have. The next day on the range I was not hitting them far enough for my happiness. I spoke to Sean, assistant manager, who really listened (I was tensing for an argument - but Sean only wanted me to get the right clubs) and offered no resistance at all, and he sent Patrick out with me. Patrick I went on the Toptracer and I was hitting my new driver on average 23 yards longer (one 50 - but that was a tug). I was just not used to the feel, sound, and flight - didn't fit my out of practice eye. The irons were going well too - (accurate, could draw and fade to some degree) but Patrick bent my irons to get me the flight I wanted (bit lower) and we went back out. The results and experience have been all I could ever ask for. People with expertise and integrity. It's why I recommend this Golf Mart whole heartedly.

I went into the Golf Mart in Del Mar California last week. I was talking with one of the associates about stopping in a shop in Texas with some extensions and new grips. The guy said he could put the extensions in for me and put the grips on. When I got back to California and went to the range, the extensions were rattling. I asked the associate at golf mart if they could pop the grips off since they had been on less than a week and remove the extensions. He said they could. When I went back to pick up my clubs, Kenny told me there was no charge. He said Kevin the manager said no charge and they were glad to correct the mistake from the place in Texas even though that is not part of their company. I was speechless. What great customer service.
