I am as critical as they come, a golf pro and an F&B owner. From the entrance to sadly leaving I had a perfect experience!! The golf course is world class, conditions and layout exceptional!! The staff is on point and very friendly as well. Enjoyed lunch after golf and the sandwich was outstanding. Toured the facility and the restaurant offering dinner only looks amazing. Can't thank the crew enough and can't wait for my next visit. Cheers to my buddy for the invite!!
Great course. The views and wildlife are amazing. Elevation changes on the front nine. A few holes with blind shots to the green, but the cart GPS is like having a caddy, showing distance to the pins. Some wide fairways, some narrow. If it's windy, it's a tough finishing nine. Clubhouse is gorgeous. Good food. Nice people. Highly recommended. Lots of tee times some days. If it's wide open, the cost will decrease the day before.
First time playing the revamped San Juan Oaks. Course was in excellent condition with lush fairways, firm greens, and green rough areas. Originally designed by Fred Couples, the new layout essentially flipped the front and back 9's. Each hole had different views and a varity of hazzards such as bunkers, creeks, a lake or two and elevation changes. Greens were fast, smooth and required a careful read of the tricky breaks. New renovations include a large driving range and two chipping greens and a large putting green. Club house is also newly refurbished. Had a great time playing here, didnt see anyone in front of us for 16 holes and no one behind us until the 14th green. Completed a leisurely round in well under 4 hours and had a nice meal in the grill afterward. Well worth the trip and planning to retun for another round.
