Van Buren Golf Center

My girlfriend set a tee time for my birthday and stated we were beginners, the people before us were late so we got some beers to begin and on the way back we were asked to let someone go ahead if us so by the time we got to even start we were 20 minutes behind. As we get to the second hole the "golf pro" condescendingly tells us to let people pass and that my girlfriend would damage the green even though she was already worried and refused to even set foot on it. We pulled in after, and he threw basically threw her ID at us instead of handing it to us after we came into the office and said we didn't appreciate how we had been treated and werent comfortable continuing the course. And to top it off as she was returning the ice bucket to the bar I was talking to some other patrons about our experience the so called golf pro came running out to try and do damage control to invite me back but explicitly stated that just I was invited back and not my girlfriend. We even selected mid morning Tuesday to try and have the least amount of people as to not be in the way. Would not recommend for beginners or anyone who is not an avid golfer looking for a quick course.

Cheap course to walk. In pretty good shape. Nice layout. Can be finished in about 1 hour as a solo walker.

We took a group and we bought a bucket of balls. All six in the group were able to hit plenty of times. A gentleman in the office loaned us a golf club. Due to the size of our group it was appreciated. The group had fun.
