Greens we in decent shape with some minor issues here and there. All the immediate areas leading up to the green 10-15 yards out were well maintained. They ran a little slow, but it was noticeable they had been well watered. Tee boxes were in pretty good shape and had multiple tee markers that were numbered to help you keep track of your round if you were playing 18 holes. A really nice touch. Fairways are narrow, so if you don’t tee off well, good luck. The roughs were horrible. You were nearly guaranteed to lose your ball in the rough, or in a gopher hole. Speaking of gopher holes, they weren’t just in the roughs. They were everywhere, fairways included. Hitting your ball into a gopher hole is an anomaly. How me and my son BOTH did it, in fairway, on different holes, is a statistical anomaly. So rare that I should quit my job and play the lotto. Only on this course, it’s not unbelievable. The gophers were out of control. Carts looked and felt very outdated. Although they do have these little digital range finders on them. The 8th hole has a water feature/hazard that is pretty nice, but if you hit up to it, good luck, that rough is super thick! It has the potential to be a really good and fun course, but it needs some serious maintenance.
